Thousands of kids are taking the first steps at living a healthier life style Tuesday.

It’s the first day of the Live Healthy Iowa Kids — Governor’s Challenge. More than 20,000 Iowa kids have signed up for the 100 day challenge.

During that time, kids are asked to complete 60 minutes of activity at least five days a week. They are also encouraged to make better food choices by tracking their nutritional habits.

Kids can still sign up for the challenge here. Registration is open throughout the 100 days and it’s free.
